1. About us

Augusto Wine & Dine is run by ALCAPAGI BV, Hoogstraat 21, 8000 Brugge, Belgium, company number BE1038.650.165. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean ALCAPAGI BV, which is the data controller of your personal information.

If you have a question, a concern or a complaint about this policy or about how we use your personal information, write to us at info@augustowinedine.com.

2. About this privacy policy

This policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you book a table, sign up to hear from us by email or text message, visit this website or contact us.

3. What personal information we collect, and how

We collect personal information that you give us directly:

  • Booking details. When you book a table we collect your name, email address, mobile number, the date, time and size of your party, and anything you tell us in the note, such as allergies or an occasion.
  • Contact details for news and offers. If you sign up to receive our newsletter, emails or text messages, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, postcode and language.
  • Payment details. If a booking or an event asks for a deposit or a payment in advance, the payment is taken by our booking provider’s payment partner. We do not see or store your card details.
  • Messages. When you call, email or text us, we keep what you send us and how you contacted us, including your marketing preferences.
  • Feedback. If you answer a survey or tell us how your visit was, we keep your answer.

4. How we use your personal information

  • To take, confirm, change and cancel your booking, and to prepare for your visit.
  • To answer your questions and requests.
  • To send you our newsletter and news about the restaurant, events and offers, by email and, if you agreed to it, by text message.
  • To ask how your visit was and to improve the restaurant and this website.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse of the booking system, and to protect our rights and our guests.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as bookkeeping.

5. Our legal basis

We use your booking details because we need them to carry out your booking. We send marketing emails and text messages on the basis of your consent or, for existing guests and for similar services, our legitimate interest in keeping in touch, and you can object or unsubscribe at any time. We keep some records because the law requires it.

6. Text messages (SMS)

We only send marketing text messages to mobile numbers whose owner has agreed to receive them. Giving us your number for a booking is not agreement to marketing texts. How often we send messages varies. Your mobile operator may charge you its usual message and data rates.

You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by writing to info@augustowinedine.com. We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties for their own marketing.

7. How we share your personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it for us and on our instructions:

  • EasyTable, our booking system, which stores bookings and sends booking confirmations.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit), which we use to send emails and text messages.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, whose advertising tags run on this website only if you accept cookies. They receive information about your visit, such as the pages you open and whether you made a booking.

We may also have to disclose personal information where the law, a court or an authority requires it, or in connection with a sale or merger of the business.

8. Your marketing choices

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and every marketing text can be stopped by replying STOP. You can also ask us to stop at any time at info@augustowinedine.com. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you messages about a booking you have made. Text messages are also covered by our messaging terms.

9. Cookies

This website only uses advertising cookies from Meta and Google if you accept them in the cookie notice. Which cookies they are, and how to change your choice, is explained in our cookie policy.

10. How long we keep your data

We do not keep your personal information longer than is needed for the purpose it was collected for, taking into account how sensitive it is and any period the law requires us to keep records. If you unsubscribe, we keep a note of that so we do not contact you again. You can ask us for the retention period that applies to your data at info@augustowinedine.com.

11. Transfers outside Europe

Some of our service providers are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where your personal information is transferred there, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

12. Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted;
  • object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict that use;
  • receive your data in a common, readable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, write to info@augustowinedine.com. You also have the right to complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we will tell you in a suitable way.
